Sustainability & Ethical Business

Sustainability and ethical business practices are at the heart of everything I do, and I’m passionate about giving back to the communities that support me. I personally know each of my suppliers and regularly visit their factories and workshops to ensure fair working conditions and happy workers. I use recycled and repurposed fabrics wherever possible, as I believe in following 'slow fashion' principles, creating classic pieces that don't cost the earth.

 

Our Little Project

 

Since 2020, we have been running a tuition project for 20 children in the gypsy colony just outside Pushkar. This project is fully funded through my business—I donate 10% of all profits—along with generous contributions from our wonderful community.

These children would otherwise have little to no access to education, as their families face significant challenges and may struggle to prioritize schooling amidst daily hardships. For years, classes were held in the family home of three of our students, but in 2024, we proudly completed our dream of building them a real schoolhouse!

Animal Rescue in Goa

​

We also support an incredible animal rescue project in Goa, run by Rani—a one-woman powerhouse who has been saving the furry inhabitants of Arambol for nearly 20 years. With no local vets and countless abandoned or injured animals, her work is vital. Through feeding programs, rehoming efforts, and sterilization initiatives, she is making a real difference in the lives of these animals.

Supporting Local Women

 

I sell anklets, blankets, handicrafts, and jewelry from the street sellers in Pushkar and the beach vendors in Goa. These hardworking women rely on tourism to support their families, and buying from them helps provide direct financial support. I don’t take any commission from these sales—100% of the money goes directly to the women who make and sell these beautiful items.
